At the Worm Lab we are investigating patterns of marine biodiversity, which is the abundance and richness of marine species in all oceans. There are four major questions that guide our research:
- How is marine biodiversity distributed across the globe, and how is that changing over time?
- What are the consequences of biodiversity change?
- What management solutions really work in preventing biodiversity loss?
We are looking at these questions through the lens of statistical models, experiments, and field observations. It is our ultimate goal to make the best scientific information available for better conservation and management of marine ecosystems.
